It is business as usual during the Station Road resurfacing this week on the 17th and 18th August. You will still have access to our car-park but may have to wait a few minutes if the engineers are blocking the way. You will not be able to park on the street.
The Old Plough, Stoke d’Abernon is a smart community pub with great fresh food, where eaters and drinkers alike are looked after with the same friendly and professional service. We re-opened the pub back in 2011 after a lengthy makeover and have worked hard over the last few years to retain its natural charm and warmth, making it a beautiful place to eat and drink
The Old Plough is a 300 year old listed building, which was once a court house, it has a rich heritage which we’re intent on preserving and extending. It once achieved a place in literature, accommodating Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s short story ‘The Adventure of the Speckled Band’.
To book a table online for up to 8 people to dine indoors or outdoors please click here. Just drinking? Although we cannot currently take bookings for drinking only, we do have a number of unreserved pub tables and lots of outdoor benches available for walk-ins.

Book a TableWe think pubs are really for adults, however well-behaved younger children are very welcome seated at a table in the bar up to 7pm and in the restaurant until 7.30pm. We do have high chairs available, a kids menu and baby change facility.
Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome in the bar area and in the garden at any time.
We have a car park and are conveniently located a very short stroll from Cobham and Stoke d’Abernon station – on the main Waterloo line. Why not combine a visit with a trip to Wisley Gardens RHS or the stunning Painshill Park which are both just down the road. Alternatively All-Trails have designed a fantastic 4 mile circular walk from our car park – click here for more information – a great way to go for a decent walk before a jolly good lunch!
